The Network Engineer will be part of a multi-year project to standardize remote sites. The Network Engineer will be responsible for traveling to sites to perform evaluations related to infrastructure.
The Network Engineer will design solutions and work with the site to schedule the installation of equipment and configurations. The candidate must have in-depth, hands-on technical skills ranging from: firewalls, routers and switches, virtualization technologies, security frameworks with extensive experience configuring and managing software and hardware related to LANs and WANs. Travel 50% of the time in the US and some Canadian sites.Primary Focus: Evaluating Network in client's offices and plants, creating a solutions, installation and troubleshooting for each of the following areas:Mapping NetworkRemote Access for Employees and VendorsFirewall Offices and PlantsBackupEducation/Certifications:BS/BA degree or comparable experienceCisco CCNA at a minimum, CCNP ITIL Foundation certifiedWork Experience Needed:Minimum of 5+ years' experience in IT network infrastructure in a large scale enterprise with hands-on networking experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience with network administrationMust be able to understand internal/external customer perspectives when executing project and operational responsibilitiesExperience with supporting remote office environmentsExperience with leading infrastructure projects (network, storage, etc.)
