Japanese Bilingual Mid–Senior Network / Security EngineerClient: Japanese IT CompanyWorking Location: New York, NY 10022Working Style: Hybrid (2–3 days/week onsite)Employment Type: Full-timeSalary: $70,000 – $100,000 (DOE)Benefit: Standard benefits packageVisa Support: PossibleWorking Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (after-hours/weekend incident response may be required; compensatory time off available)Language: Japanese & English (Bilingual)Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain IP network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switchesConfigure and support servers, PCs, networks, and telephony hardware/software for customersPerform onsite installation and troubleshooting at client offices and data centers (NY/NJ/CT); occasional business travel requiredProvide remote and onsite technical support for network and infrastructure environmentsManage pre-sales and post-sales technical projects, coordinating with vendors and subcontractorsConduct security assessments and implement tailored network/security solutionsBuild, operate, and enhance security technologies such as endpoint protection and network security platformsRespond to infrastructure incidents and participate in emergency support when neededMaintain installation records, project documentation, and troubleshooting logsReport project and issue status to project leadersSupport proposal and quotation preparationResearch products and market trendsSupport existing customer accounts and ensure high service qualityCollaborate closely with sales teams on solution deliveryMentor junior engineers as neededThe Right Candidate Will Possess:Strong hands-on experience in enterprise network environmentsSolid IP networking fundamentalsClient-facing communication skills in Japanese and EnglishFlexibility to respond to infrastructure incidents outside business hoursAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyAdaptability to evolving technologiesRequired Qualifications & Skills:4–6+ years of practical experience in network engineering (junior–senior level considered)Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto (firewalls, routers, switches)Network certifications such as CCNA / CCNP preferred (practical experience prioritized)Unix/Linux and Windows server operationLAN / WAN technologiesVirtualization and storage platformsSecurity tools including endpoint protection and vulnerability assessmentExperience with Microsoft, Citrix, VMware environmentsMSP / MSSP experience a plus
