Network EngineerThis position will be an experienced technical resource for the ongoing deployment of a Global CSfC solution. This role will be a Network Engineer that requires a strong operational background supporting network infrastructure hardware, VPN Solutions, Packet Filtering Firewalling techniques, Routing & Switch, troubleshooting. Technologies deployed within the solution include platforms such as Cisco FTD & ASA, Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba vMC, VMware vSphere, Cisco Catalyst Switching platforms, and other logging, monitoring, and security solutions.Expectations of this role are to implement, maintain, and optimize network, firewall, & VPN infrastructure.
New installations, troubleshoot complex nested VPN connectivity, resolve network connectivity issues. The ideal candidate has the ability to support, manage, and maintain multiple network enclaves and elements, as well as design, optimize, and automate network operations.Duties/Responsibilities:Administration of network routers, switches, firewalls, VPN termination appliances (in both site-to-site and remote access).Plan and perform network level updates, and disaster recovery operations.Perform installation new capability integrations, and configuration of network segment with a security first approach.Perform testing and documentation to report systems status and support operations.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network problems, and replace defective components when necessaryMonitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the futureCollaborate on a multi-disciplinary team of Software, Test, Server Engineers, and Operations staffOther duties as required in support of the customer's mission.Required Qualifications/Skills:6+ years of network engineering experience supporting large scale global environments is requiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related discipline, or equivalent years of related technical experience is requiredAn active SECRET Security Clearance is requiredCurrent Active IAT Level 2 Qualifying Cyber Security Certification (Sec+, CySA+, etc.) is requiredNetworking Knowledge: VLANS, Access Control, Trunking, Static/Dynamic routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), IPSec VPNs (Site-2-Site & Remote Access), PKI, DNS, SNMP, Packet Filtering, and Packet Analysis tools is requiredExcellent communications, (both written and verbal required) and organizational skills is requiredDesired Qualifications/Skills:Current Active Professional Networking/Security Certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet) is a plusDirect hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto IPS platforms and capabilities is a plusKnowledge of Automation strategies (Ansible, Terraform, Python/Bash/PowerShell Scripting) and techniques for of provisioning, and operations of network devices is a plusExperience in Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) environments is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
