The firm's collaborative groups of researchers, engineers, and investment professionals deploy sophisticated statistical models, proprietary technology, and a centralized data platform to isolate and solve challenging problem sets in the global financial markets.We are seeking a Network Engineer to help lead network projects at the firm. Reporting in to the Systems Infrastructure Team, this individual will serve as a primary driver of network engineering initiatives including counterparty integrations, new office buildouts, and ongoing network projects. This role is designed for an experienced, collaborative professional looking for a growth opportunity.
While network engineering will be the initial focus, the breadth of responsibilities is expected to expand over time. This is an on-site role based out of our New York City office, five days a week.Key ResponsibilitiesLead network projects at the firm, including counterparty integrations, new office buildouts, and ongoing network initiativesDesign, implement, operate, and support network infrastructure across all layers of the environmentManage routing, switching, and firewall systemsSupport and expand cloud networking capabilities, particularly within AWSDevelop and maintain scripting and automation solutions to improve operational efficiencyEnforce and evolve network security best practices and controlsCollaborate cross-functionally with other infrastructure team members on shared projects and prioritiesRequired Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field5–10 years of experience in a network and/or network security roleStrong expertise in traditional networking — routing, switching, and firewall systemsProficiency in scripting and/or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)Working knowledge of security best practices and controlsSuperb communication and strong project management skillsAbility to learn new platforms and technologies quicklyFamiliarity with public cloud environments, particularly AWSFinancial industry experience helpful, but not requiredThe base salary for this role is anticipated to be $200,000–$250,000, excluding potential bonuses, additional compensation, and benefits. Actual compensation will depend on various factors including skills, experience, and qualifications.
