Network Engineer Level 2As a Network Engineer Level 2 at Independent Software, you will provide advanced technical support to maintain, optimize, and secure enterprise network environments. You will build upon foundational network administration responsibilities by supporting network design, performing upgrades, and ensuring systems meet mission and compliance requirements. You will work closely with Network and System Administrators to improve performance, automate processes, and support operational network infrastructure across complex environments.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support to Network Administrators and System Administrators for maintaining and improving network infrastructureMonitor and maintain network performance, ensuring system availability and reliabilityTroubleshoot network issues across routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructureSupport network upgrades, installations, and configuration activitiesProvide input into network design and mission architectureConduct network defense operations and support security-related configurationsDevelop and maintain network diagrams and documentationConfigure and maintain network devices and infrastructure componentsIntegrate hardware and software solutions to meet DoD/IC and ISO compliance requirementsSupport capacity planning and performance optimization effortsOversee support activities for network equipment and ensure operational readinessAssist with integration of analytic platforms and network capabilities into operational environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issuesRequired Skills and Qualifications:Experience supporting enterprise network environments, including routing and switchingStrong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and network troubleshootingExperience with network device configuration and administration (routers, switches, firewalls)Ability to analyze and resolve network performance and connectivity issuesFamiliarity with network security concepts and network defense operationsAbility to read and maintain network diagrams and technical documentationStrong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented environmentEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Network Engineering or a related discipline AND Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing network engineering supportORMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline AND eight (8) years of relevant experienceORFourteen (14) years of relevant experience without a degreeCertifications:Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is requiredClearance Requirement:Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this roleWhy Choose Independent Software: At Independent Software, our people are the mission.
