Network EngineerThe main function of a Network Engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands. Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs.
Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades. Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems. Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
8 to 10 years experience required. Network/systems administration/related work experience required. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus.
Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.
