Extreme Network Engineer IIIWe are seeking a highly skilled Extreme Network Engineer III with deep expertise in Extreme Networks technologies to join our Professional Services team. This role is critical in delivering high-value design, upgrade, and implementation projects for our customers. As a trusted technical advisor, you will lead complex engagements, ensuring successful outcomes that align with client business objectives.Responsibilities:Be responsible for customer installations and configurations and create customer facing High-Level Designs and detailed Low-Level Designs.Be the networking technical lead on customer projectsDesign, configure, deploy and troubleshoot the following vendor technologies:Extreme Networks routers, switches, wireless and management platformsExtreme fabric engine (VOSS) and switch engine (EXOS) including SPBM/ISIS, OSPF, BGP.Extreme XIQ Cloud Platform ONEExtreme XIQ-Site Engine, Control Engine (NAC) and AnalyticsExtreme wireless controllers and APsJuniper routers and switches (EX, MX, SRX) a plusHPE Aruba routers, switches and wireless including Aruba Central, AOS-CX, Clearpass, a plus.Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
A plusAbility to build templates for automation of equipment roll-outs by other staff members.Ability to work with Account team as SE support as SME when neededAbility to work with prime SE on network designsBe a 3rd level resource for our Tech Support engineersQualifications:7-10 years of experience in a field support, professional services or a technical support roleHeavy experience with Juniper routers and switches and migrations from VPLS to EVPN with knowledge of Juniper Apstra to deploy EVPN.Strong knowledge of Layer 2, Layer 3 routing protocols MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF etc.Ability to use scripting to configure networking devicesStrong knowledge of security protocolsData Center routing and switching experience required.Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsStrong account management and customer communication skillsAbility to work in fast paced, dynamic environmentAbility to handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with minimal supervisionExtreme commitment to customer service and enhancing the customer experienceExcellent computing skills, including LinuxAbility to learn and effectively utilize customer support tools/resourcesLocation and Travel:This position is open to candidates located in Wisconsin (preferred) or nearby states, such as Minnesota, Iowa, or Illinois. This position will involve frequent travel to Wisconsin to perform work at onsite customer locations. The estimated amount of travel is 30% - 50% of the time.Pay Range: $130,000 - $155,000Base pay ranges are estimated.
Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
