Network Engineer, CloudFedPoint is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer, Cloud to lead critical networking initiatives and help shape a secure, high performing infrastructure across both on premises and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and wants to make a direct impact on enterprise level systems. This position is going to be 51% on prem network and 49% AWS cloud networking.As a key member of our IT Infrastructure team, you will take ownership of network architecture, performance, and security while ensuring alignment with NIST 800 53 standards.
You will play a lead role in strengthening our AWS cloud networking environment and maintaining the reliability of our corporate WAN and LAN.What You Will DoLead network architecture initiatives across cloud and on premises environmentsOwn and resolve network outages, including root cause analysis and long term solutionsDesign, implement, and support secure networking solutions including firewalls, segmentation, and load balancingManage AWS cloud networking components and support cloud migration effortsImplement infrastructure as code using TerraformMonitor network performance, develop alerting, and improve system reliabilityPartner with security teams to enforce compliance with NIST and HIPAA standardsLead projects from planning through execution and drive process improvementsCollaborate with cross functional teams across infrastructure, cloud, and systemsWhat You Bring7 or more years of experience in network engineering within a 24 by 7 environmentStrong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networkingHands on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools such as TerraformExperience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, load balancers, and web application firewallsKnowledge of network protocols and services including DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNsStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform deep root cause analysisExperience supporting compliance frameworks such as NISTAbility to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectivelyWhy Join FedPoint You will be part of a collaborative and forward thinking infrastructure team that supports mission critical systems.
