Network EngineerThe main function of a network engineer is to determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks. A typical network engineer is responsible for planning and implementing network upgrades. Job Responsibilities: Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands. Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.
Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Basic knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage. Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.Provide Tier 2 technical support for all our offboard/onboard systems to the field across Construction & E&T industries.Escalate issues to product service engineers and/or CPI find it engineers for assistance.Engagement with engineering teams, PPG and product groupsField visits to troubleshoot and install software, when requiredCoordinate within team to review and provide input into overall service literature.Familiarize yourself with the overall e2e telematics platform, keep abreast of all production releases to adequately support the field.Requires good communication and facilitation skills as well as working through logistics with key dealers/customers.Typical Day:Monitor a workstream queue through SalesForce (CRMI system) reply to help tickets from our tier 1 team in Manilla. Attend daily meetings to discuss key issues/improvements for their particular workstreamTechnical Skills Required:Telematics experience (Preferred)Background in cellular/satellite communications (Preferred)Experience working directly with client dealers a plus.Strong technical communication skillsSoft Skills Required:Excellent communication skillsHeavy attention to detailCustomer service focusedEducation Requirements:Education/Experience:Associates/No Degree: 2-4 years experience requiredBachelor's degree PreferredTravel: None
