Network Automation EngineerLocation – San Jose, CA/ RemotePosition OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate isn’t just a "network person" or a "coder," but someone who lives at the intersection of both. You will be responsible for transforming our manual infrastructure processes into a streamlined, automated machine.

If you speak Python, breathe Linux, and can orchestrate complex environments with Ansible, we want to talk to you.Key ResponsibilitiesAutomate Everything: Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows for network provisioning, configuration, and testing.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Ansible and Python to manage and scale our network infrastructure, ensuring consistency across environments.System Administration: Manage and optimize Linux-based systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) that host our critical services.Network Management: Support and troubleshoot network protocols, VLANs, and connectivity issues within an automated framework.Database Support: Perform basic administration and integration tasks for both relational (SQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases to support internal tooling.Monitoring & Optimization: Build dashboards and alerts to ensure high availability and performance of the automated infrastructure.Technical RequirementsCategoryRequirementAutomationExpert-level experience with Ansible (playbooks, roles, and Galaxy).ScriptingProficiency in Python for automation scripts and API integrations.Operating SystemsDeep knowledge of Linux internals, CLI, and shell scripting (Bash).NetworkingStrong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and Load Balancing.DatabasesHands-on experience with SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and MongoDB.
