Experience with OpenShift, RedHat Linux, scripting like Ansible or Python/Perl, Orchestration and Automation.Location: McLean, VARole: Contract 9 monthsYou must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be considered for the role:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or Network Engineering Technology with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in IP network architecture and design (not operations) in an ISP environment, including at least five (5) years of relevant experience in IP-based Broadband design, implementation and support (Satellite, DSL, DOCSIS or 3GPP).Expert-level knowledge including, but not limited to: M/BGP, MPLS-TE, L2/L3 VPN), ISIS, OSPF/OSPFv3, RSVP, LDP, EIGRP, IGRP, RIPv1/2, MSDP, PIM-DM/SM, WCCPWork experience must demonstrate expert knowledge of switching, including but not limited to: CGMP, IGMP, 802.XX, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, VLAN/Trunking (802.1Q and ISL), EtherChannel, Wireless, Spanning Tree (STP), HSRP, VRRP, TRILL, CLOS.Extensive design and architecture experience with a wide range of technologies including routers, multiplexers and switches, signaling protocols, as well as access and transport technologies including but not limited to DOCSIS, CWDM/DWDM, SONET, Terrestrial/Satellite Leased line, 3GPP/EPC Framework and WiFi.Well-developed knowledge of industry best practices and network architecture, with experience implementing OpenStack, VXLAN, NFV, SDN and Orchestration to address business needs for managed service offeringsUnderstanding of ancillary technologies used to support network backbones such as management and metric gathering tools (SNMP, Netflow), packet capturing tools, and automation tools.The work will be tied to specific deliverables, which are generally as follows: Work with client employees to build a centralized NFV environment to evaluate L2 over Satellite extensions for an orchestrated VXLAN/NFV core to deliver managed services: a. Managed Router b. Managed Firewall & Content Filters c. Managed SIP Gateway d. Virtual EPC e. Others as defined by Product Management 2. Create a High-Level Design (HLD) for #1, to be delivered to Service Architecture for Low-Level Design and Engineering Operations for deployment: a. Orchestration b. VXLAN Service Chaining c.
