In this high-impact technical leadership role, you will take total ownership of designing, engineering, and scaling robust enterprise network architectures, multi-cloud connectivity solutions, and advanced routing/switching infrastructures. You will leverage your extensive telecommunications and IT network expertise to define enterprise connectivity standards, optimize WAN/LAN performance, and drive secure, high-availability network transformations. If you possess a robust background in enterprise network design and a passion for cutting-edge infrastructure engineering, we invite you to apply.

Detailed Job Description:

As a Network Architect at Tech Club Inc in Irvine, CA, you will lead the end-to-end conceptualization, architectural design, and deployment of mission-critical enterprise network systems. Your daily responsibilities will span architecting resilient BGP/OSPF routing topologies, implementing software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) frameworks, securing multi-cloud VPC/VNet connectivity across AWS and Azure, and establishing rigorous network security baselines. Operating in a fast-paced technology consulting environment, you will collaborate closely with executive stakeholders, systems engineering teams, and external vendors to translate complex business requirements into scalable, fault-tolerant network blueprints. Furthermore, you will conduct thorough performance analyses, direct capacity planning initiatives, and resolve complex cross-domain networking escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect, and deploy highly scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise network infrastructures across local, wide-area, and cloud environments.
  • Engineer advanced routing and switching architectures utilizing BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and protocol optimization standards.
  • Spearhead enterprise SD-WAN deployments, multi-site connectivity frameworks, and software-defined networking strategies.
  • Architect and secure hybrid cloud networking connections, direct interconnects, and virtual private clouds across AWS and Azure.
  • Establish comprehensive network security standards, enterprise firewall policies, segmentation rules, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Provide expert-level technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior network engineers and operations support teams.
  • Evaluate emerging networking technologies, hardware platforms, and software-defined solutions to future-proof enterprise estates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with cybersecurity, DevOps, and systems architecture teams to ensure seamless integration.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience in enterprise network engineering, design, and architecture.
  • Extensive, hands-on architectural expertise in enterprise routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, ISIS).
  • Proven professional experience designing and deploying SD-WAN solutions and multi-site WAN architectures.
  • Strong technical background in multi-cloud networking (AWS VPC/Transit Gateway, Azure VNet/ExpressRoute).
  • Deep understanding of network security principles, enterprise firewalls, VPN tunnels, and micro-segmentation.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex architectural initiatives in Irvine, CA.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Professional expert-level certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE).
  • Advanced cloud networking certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience implementing network automation frameworks and Infrastructure-as-Code using Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Prior professional experience working within top-tier managed service providers or technology consulting firms.
  • Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes CNI, Calico, Cilium) and service mesh architectures.
