Network Architect - Consultant

Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 6 Months

Work Location: Fully onsite; occasional remote work permissible

Candidate Requirement: SC resident or willing to relocate; US Citizen or Legal Resident

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience with enterprise network architecture and engineering.
• 4+ years of experience with LAN/WAN, Juniper routing and switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
• 4+ years of experience leading complex network architecture and engineering initiatives.
• 4+ years of experience with infrastructure modernization, lifecycle planning, capacity planning, resiliency, and high availability.
• 4+ years of experience with Fortinet firewalls, VPN/SASE, NAC, segmentation, and security policies.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure networking.
• 4+ years of experience with network automation, scripting, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.
• 4+ years of experience with network monitoring, observability, analytics, metrics, and performance management.

Preferred Skills:

• Enterprise network strategy, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Higher education network architecture and engineering experience.
• Aruba and Cisco enterprise switching and wireless technologies.
• Enterprise observability, telemetry, automation, and self-healing infrastructure.
• Virtualization, cloud networking, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Enterprise cybersecurity, zero-trust, segmentation, and secure network architecture.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure projects with facilities, contractors, consultants, and engineering firms.

Required Education/Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred Education/Certifications
• JNCIP-ENT or higher.
• Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) or higher.
• CCNP Enterprise or CCIE.
• Aruba networking certification.
• AWS or Microsoft Azure networking certification.
• ITIL Foundation or higher.
• CompTIA Security+.
