Network Administrator – AdvancedThe hiring agency is seeking an experienced Network Administrator – Advanced to support the organization's enterprise network infrastructure. The selected candidate will provide operational support, maintenance, and enhancements for the organization's network and wireless systems across multiple statewide locations.Position DetailsContract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)Work Location: 100% on-site, Monday–FridayTravel: Required to multiple sites throughout the state; state vehicle or approved mileage reimbursement availableCandidate Location: Local state residents only (no relocation)Interview Process: Initial round via Microsoft Teams for top 3 candidates; second round if neededKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and troubleshoot issues related to enterprise wireless networks.Provide network connectivity support for Windows, Mac, and mobile devices (iOS, tablets, etc.).Manage full lifecycle of wireless devices and related infrastructure.Support network connectivity for laboratory and field systems.Register and maintain network devices in Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client).Conduct on-site wireless assessments and create/maintain wireless heatmaps using Ekahau tools.Perform enterprise wireless network installations, upgrades, and configurations.Complete firmware, software, and security updates as needed.Handle network-related trouble tickets and ensure timely resolution.Serve as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for wireless and network connectivity issues.Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve network and security incidents.Document network configurations, topologies, and maintenance procedures.Perform system installations, upgrades, and hardware setup (including racking equipment).Provide project status updates, technical documentation, and progress reports.Maintain compliance with organizational IT and security standards.Requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work comfortably on a ladder.Required Skills3–5 years of experience with LAN, WLAN, and WAN technologies3–5 years of experience with network administration (Cisco and/or Palo Alto Firewall)3–5 years of experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client)3–5 years of experience using ticketing systems for network supportValid driver's licenseAbility to lift 40 lbs and work on a ladderPreferred SkillsNetwork Certification (Network+, CCNA, or equivalent)Experience using Ekahau for wireless analysis and heatmapsExperience with SolarWinds Orion or similar monitoring toolsEducationBachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent technical experienceAdditional RequirementsMust comply with all organizational IT and data security policies.Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with IT and non-IT staff.Ability to travel statewide and adjust schedule based on operational needs.Weekly status meetings with management will be required.Contractors must complete any required security or compliance training prior to start.All deliverables, documentation, and work products become the sole property of the hiring organization.Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.
