Network Admin L2Network Administrators are the backbone of an organization's IT infrastructure. They are responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems, ensuring that internal and external communications are efficient, secure, and robust.Core ResponsibilitiesNetwork Infrastructure Management Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networksManage LAN, WAN, intranets, VPNs, and MPLS circuitsMonitor network performance and ensure high availability and uptimeApply patches, firmware updates, and maintain hardware inventoryPlan and execute network changes via formal change control processesCloud & Hybrid Networking Manage cloud networking on AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, and Google CloudOversee SD-WAN deployment and cloud-based SaaS integrationEnsure reliable, secure connectivity for remote and distributed workforceSupport hybrid cloud environments across on-prem and cloud-hosted workloadsConfigure and optimize cloud-native firewall and network access policiesSecurity & Zero Trust Implement and maintain Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) policiesManage firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and network access control (NAC) systemsConduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management cyclesMonitor for threats using SIEM tools; coordinate incident responseEnforce SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) frameworks for distributed usersSupport compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and GDPR requirementsMonitoring, Observability & AIOps Deploy and manage network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Datadog, Grafana)Perform proactive capacity planning and bandwidth trend analysisUse AIOps platforms for predictive fault detection and auto-remediationMaintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines (CMDB)Generate weekly/monthly SLA and performance reports for stakeholdersIncident & Problem Management Act as the first responder for network incidents (P1/P2 SLA adherence)Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviewsMaintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plansCollaborate with NOC, SOC, and service desk for end-to-end incident resolutionDocument known errors and workarounds in the knowledge baseTechnical SkillsRouting & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoSFirewall & VPN: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, IPSec, SSL VPNCloud Networking: AWS / Azure / GCP networking fundamentalsScripting & Automation: Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, TerraformWireless: Wi-Fi 6/6E, controller management, site surveysMonitoring & Logging: SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, SIEM integrationSecurity Frameworks: Zero Trust, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2ITSM: ITIL v4, ServiceNow, change & incident managementSoft SkillsAnalytical Thinking: Diagnose complex, multi-layer network issues quicklyCommunication: Translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholdersAttention to Detail: Config errors can cause major outages — precision is criticalProactive Problem Solving: Identify risks before they become incidentsTeamwork: Collaborate with NOC, SOC, service desk, and vendorsAdaptability: Rapidly evolving technology landscape requires continuous learningDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
