KeyResponsibilities

• Install,configure, and maintain Netezza appliances across environments.
  
• Performdaily monitoring, performance tuning, and health checks of the Netezzaenvironment.
  
• Managedatabase security, users, roles, and permissions.
  
• Implementbackup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  
• OptimizeSQL queries and workload management (WLM) for better performance.
  
• Monitorsystem capacity, identify bottlenecks, and ensure high availability.
  
• Collaboratewith data engineers, architects, and business teams to support datawarehouse operations.
  
• Troubleshootdatabase-related issues and provide production support.
  
• Maintaindocumentation of processes, standards, and best practices.
  

RequiredSkills & Qualifications

• Minimum8+ years of hands-on experience in Netezza Database Administration.
  
• Strongunderstanding of Netezza architecture, workload management (WLM), andperformance tuning.
  
• Proficiencyin SQL, shell scripting, and Linux/Unix administration.
  
• Experiencewith backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  
• Strongtroubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Knowledgeof ETL processes, BI tools, and data warehouse concepts.
  
• Goodcommunication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposureto cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, etc.).
• Knowledgeof Python/automation scripting.
• Familiaritywith data governance and security best practices.
