About Onshore Systems AI

Onshore Systems AI, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, builds and supports secure enterprise platforms for healthcare workflows, legacy modernization and cloud transformation, delivered entirely by U.S.-based teams.

The role

We are pursuing a multi-year State of Michigan contract to maintain, support and enhance five public-health applications used for lead-poisoning surveillance, lead-abatement certification, toxicology and environmental sampling. You will be the named Technical Lead: owning the codebase, guiding a small team of .NET developers and a DBA, and serving as the State's technical point of contact.

What you'll do

- Lead maintenance, break/fix and enhancement work across five .NET 8 / SQL Server 2022 applications hosted in the State's data center

- Meet service-level targets for critical, high, medium and low issues, and run root-cause reviews

- Maintain integrations including MILogin single sign-on, a master person index, an enterprise service bus, HL7 lab messaging and address validation

- Estimate, design and deliver State-requested enhancements through a formal change-control process

- Keep code, documentation and deployments aligned with State security standards (NIST controls, MFA, encryption) and WCAG accessibility

- Mentor developers, review code and own release quality

Must have

- 5+ years as Technical Lead on an application-support or development project of similar size and complexity

- 5+ years of hands-on work in .NET and SQL Server environments (C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL, stored procedures, query tuning)

- Experience supporting production systems under a service-level agreement

- Excellent communication and organization skills; comfortable presenting to government stakeholders

- Must live and work in the United States

Nice to have

- .NET 8 / ASP.NET Core and SQL Server 2022

- Public-sector or healthcare data experience (HL7, FHIR, case management, surveillance systems)

- Experience with State of Michigan systems, MILogin or DTMB standards

- Azure DevOps or GitHub CI/CD; automated testing

How to apply

Send your resume and two or three projects you led (size, team, technology, your role) to william@onshoretech.ai. Selected candidates will be named in our proposal and asked to sign a letter of commitment contingent on award.
