This is a 06+ month's contract to Perm opportunity with long-term potential located in Atlanta, GA.Please review the job description below:Key Responsibilities:Implement software changes in C#, HTML, and JavaScript (or other languages when applicable) using Visual StudioImplement meaningful unit tests to cover major application logicCreate, document, and execute scenario-based tests for application changesWork with senior team members to incorporate data access and other services into applicationsReport status updates to leadership via software processes as statuses changeCreate design documentation to detail implementation of business requirements via softwareDesign, document, implement, and test simple reports using SQL Server Reporting ServicesCreate, consume, and test web services using C#, WCF, and soapUICreate data access layers using the Entity Framework and C#Use lambda expressions with C# to simply application codeTroubleshoot application bugs using Visual Studio, diagnostic log analysis, and SysInternals toolsReport status updates to leadership via software processes as statuses changeCreate rich user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (both with WebForms and with the MVC Framework) ASP NETDesign, document, and implement complex or large OLTP and OLAP SQL Server 2008 or 2012 databases using documented best practices.Conduct load testing and runtime analysis of applications using Visual StudioTroubleshoot application server issues using diagnostic log analysis and SysInternals toolsUtilize dependency injection frameworks to build highly testable and extensible applications.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related major5+ years of professional application development experienceProfessional experience using at least one major source control providerProfessional experience building.NET 2.0 or 4.0 applications with Visual Studio 2010, 2012, or 2013Professional experience building applications using C#, HTML, and JavaScriptProfessional experience consuming data access layers and web services using C#Substantial knowledge of CLR fundamentals (IL, garbage collection, reflection, generics, and COM and native code interoperability)Professional experience designing, documenting, implementing, and testing moderately large ETL processes (involving tables with hundreds of thousands to millions of records)Professional experience debugging applications with and without the use of debuggers, symbols, and source codeProfessional experience designing, documenting, consuming, and testing web services with C# and WCFProfessional experience with soapUI or other similar toolsProfessional experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery)Professional experience with one or more unit testing frameworksProfessional experience using T-SQL and distributed transactionsProfessional experience using the Entity Framework and C# to build data access layersProfessional experience using lambda expressions with C# to simplify application codeProfessional experience building applications for development and deployment across multiple environments.Our client is a leading Cable Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
