Job Details:

• No clinic
• Assigned/Unassigned patients
• Anticipated 4 hours per day on site
• Overseeing dialysis patients, rounding on inpatients, and answering calls
• Patients per shift: 8
• Call: 24-hour call shift; 7a-7p schedule
  • Call Type: Beeper
  • Call Response Time: 25 minutes
  • Call Ratio: 1:1
  • Callback: 30%
• Average call volume:
  • Phone consults: 7
  • Patients seen: 10
  • Admissions: 4
• 3 RNs for support
• 99 beds in department
• EMR: Paragon

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified Nephrology (Internal Medicine)

• Fellowship required

• Active NC license

Required Certifications:

• ABLS

• ACLS

• BLS

• PALS

Required Skills:

• Management of dialysis patients

• Hemodialysis

• CRRT

• Peritoneal dialysis

• Management of post-renal transplant patients

• Renal biopsy

• Hemodialysis catheter placement

• Catheter placement
