Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat disease conditions involving the kidneys and provide renal replacement therapy to patients with acute and chronic renal failure in the form of peritoneal and hemodialysis
- Diagnose and treat the entire realm of kidney disease
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, monitor, and manage the pre- and post-transplant care of kidney transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Order and execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic images of patients with kidney conditions
- Examine patients using medical instruments and equipment, analyzing results, diagnosing conditions, and administering and prescribing treatment regimens including dialysis
- Refer patients to other specialists as indicated
- Travel to worksites in the New Orleans metropolitan area frequently
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O.
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana
- Completion of a nephrology fellowship
- Individuals who reside in and will work from Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington D.C. are not eligible for remote work positions
