Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat disease conditions involving the kidneys and provide renal replacement therapy to patients with acute and chronic renal failure in the form of peritoneal and hemodialysis
- Diagnose and treat the entire realm of kidney disease
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, monitor and manage the pre- and post-transplant care of kidney transplant patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Order and execute tests, analyses and diagnostic images of patients with kidney conditions
- Examine patients using medical instruments and equipment, analyzing results, diagnosing condition, administering and prescribing treatment regimen, including dialysis
- Refer patients to other specialists as indicated
- Travel to worksites in New Orleans metropolitan area frequently
Qualifications
- Education Required: M.D. or D.O.
- License to practice medicine in Louisiana
- Completion of a nephrology fellowship
- Individuals who reside in and will work from the following areas are not eligible for remote work position: Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington D.C.
