Nephrologist

Job duties:

Provide professional medical services to the patients; diagnose, treat and manage illnesses and diseases which afflict the kidneys suchas: renal stone diseases and abnormalities; systemic, infectious and malignant disease of the kidney; diabetes; polycystic kidneydisease; hypertensive disorders; renovascular diseases; chronic renal failure; disorders of drug metabolism and renal drug toxicity; anddisorders of the aging kidney and urinary tract. Manage congenital and acquired diseases of the kidney and urinary tract and renaldiseases associated with systemic disorders such as diabetes, collagen-vascular diseases, and pregnancy; evaluate and managemedical complications in patients during and between dialysis and other extracorporeal therapies, including dialysis access, and anunderstanding of their pathogenesis and preventions; analyze the effects of the medication prescribe on the kidney. Work with patientsregarding special nutritional requirements and prescribe medication.

Minimum Requirements:

Medical Degree (or foreign equivalent); Eligible for AZ state medical license; Completion of Residency in Internal Medicine or FamilyMedicine. Completion of Nephrology Fellowship.
