A full-time Neonatologist position is available at a leading pediatric facility and Level III NICU in central Georgia. This role offers a balanced schedule, strong subspecialty support, and the opportunity to work in a modern, state-of-the-art neonatal unit. It is a permanent position (no locums) with academic affiliation and comprehensive benefits.
Dates / Schedule- Schedule: 26 weeks per year (one week on / one week off)
- Call: From home every other night during on շաբաթ
- Coverage Type: Full-time, permanent position
- Provide care in a 66-bed Level III NICU
- Perform daily rounding and manage neonatal patients
- Utilize advanced therapies including:
- High-frequency ventilation
- Nitric oxide
- Therapeutic hypothermia (brain cooling)
- Collaborate with:
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
- Subspecialty teams (readily available)
- Practice in a Level I trauma center and regional perinatal/neonatal hub
- Opportunity for clinical appointment with Mercer Medical School
- Work in a modern NICU facility (opened 2019)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatology
- Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA (required prior to start)
- NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required at submission
- Must not require visa sponsorship (not accepted)
- Strong experience in Level III NICU care and advanced neonatal therapies
