• Duration: 6-8 months

• Schedule: Full-time coverage

• Practice Setting: New Level II NICU

• Responsibilities: Daily rounding on all babies delivered, with backup on-call coverage for advanced practice providers (APPs).

• Patient Type: Assigned and unassigned patients

• Patients per Shift: Up to 3

• Department Size: 3 beds

• Call Type: Beeper

• Call Response Time: 15-30 minutes

• Average Call Volume per 24 Hours:

  • Phone consults: 0

  • Patients seen: 2-6

  • Admissions: 0-1

• Support Staff: 0-1 PA/NP

• EMR: Epic

• Hospital Designation: Stroke certified

• Overtime: Requires approval from the practice administrator

• Lunch Breaks: Lunch is not included in worked hours. Providers must swipe out for lunch and swipe back in afterward.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Board-certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• License: Active Pennsylvania license required

• Fellowship: Preferred

• Certifications Required: BLS, PALS, and NRP

• IMLC: Not accepted; Pennsylvania license required
