Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Neonatologist for a per diem opportunity at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL. This role involves providing comprehensive neonatal care within a 25-bed Level III NICU and newborn nursery. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on evidence-based protocols and specialized care for premature infants.

Practice Info

  • Staffing Model: 4.5 Neonatologists providing 24/7 in-house coverage
  • 2.3 mid-level providers covering NICU during the day
  • 1.5 mid-level providers covering the newborn nursery during daytime hours
  • Wellington Regional Medical Center is a 233-bed acute care hospital
  • Advanced neonatal intensive care through a 25-bed Level III NICU
  • Focus on evidence-based protocols and specialized care for 23-30 week premature infants

Responsibilities

  • Care for full-term and late preterm infants in the newborn nursery
  • Attend high-risk deliveries
  • Oversee daily responsibilities in the nursery
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care

Requirements

  • Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required
  • Active FL license or IMLC required
