Neonatologist

Sanford Children's Hospital in Fargo, ND, is seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to join the region's largest team of board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatricians and pediatric specialists. The position offers an opportunity to work within a 40-bed Level III Regional NICU, supported by a dedicated team of neonatologists, NNP/PAs, and AirMed transport services. Providers will also have the option for a joint appointment as clinical faculty with the Department of Pediatrics at the UND School of Medicine and Health Science.

• Team includes 6 neonatologists, 14 staff NNP/PA plus per diems
• 24/7 in-house coverage by NNP/PA
• Supported by AirMed transport services with helicopter and fixed wing covering the tri-state area
• Over 300 Pediatric and Neonatal transports annually
• Sanford Medical Center houses an 8 bed PICU, with additional flex beds if needed
• Floor shared with 24 bed pediatric unit, and 40-bed Level III NICU
• Sanford Health Fargo serves a large catchment area of 1.2 million throughout ND, MN and parts of SD and MT
• Joint appointment as clinical faculty with Department of Pediatrics at UND School of Medicine and Health Science teaching medical students & family medicine residents as well as an upcoming pediatric residency in 2024

Responsibilities

• Assist at the time of high-risk delivery and post-resuscitative care of the sick newborn
