Our client in OH is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist Physician for a 56-day assignment. This role requires covering 24-hour shifts in a Special Care nursery, with 15-17 shifts per month. You will primarily care for newborns, performing a range of procedures including circumcisions, and responding to in-house codes as needed.

- Patients Per Day: 2-8 newborns; 0-2 in the special care nursery
- Staffing Mix: 24/7 Anesthesia. Pediatric subspecialty backup offered by partner hospital in Columbus. OB/GYN.
Shift & Schedule
- 56-day assignment
- 15-17 shifts per month
- In-house coverage from 8am-4pm, followed by out of house call until 8am
- Call Schedule: Out of house call, 4pm-8am
- LOA: 56 Days
Responsibilities
- Cover 24-hour shifts in the Special Care nursery
- Provide in-house coverage from 8am-4pm, followed by 16 hours of out of house call
- Care for newborns
- Perform full procedures, including circumcisions
- Respond to in-house codes and provide backup in the ED for Neonatal cases only
- Work within a special care nursery
- Handle Special Care Nursery & Well baby nursery coverage
- Perform neonatal intubation
- Execute peripheral arterial puncture and line placement
- Manage ventilation
- Perform newborn circumcisions
- Conduct lumbar punctures
- Perform umbilical catheterization
- Lead neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
- Perform chest tube placement (less common)
- Perform thoracentesis (less common)
