Neonatologist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Neonatologist for a per diem position at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, autonomous environment within a supportive team. The hospital is committed to expanding its Women's & Children's services, providing a dynamic setting for a skilled Neonatologist.

Practice Info

• Practice in a high-acuity, autonomous environment with a supportive team.
• Hospital committed to expanding its Women's & Children's services.
• 25-bed Level III NICU (ADC: 17).
• 36-bed Newborn Nursery (ADC: 15).
• Approximately 3,500 annual deliveries.
• Accepts all gestational ages (excluding surgical cases).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour rounding plus call from home/hotel.
• Utilize advanced services including body cooling and oscillators.
• Work with an RN/RT-staffed regional transport team.
• Collaborate with a cohesive group of experienced NNPs.
• Work with supportive OB hospitalists, MFM, and subspecialty telehealth providers.

Shift & Schedule

• Shifts are 24 hours rounding plus call from home/hotel.
• Specific dates needed: July 4-6, 11-12; August 9-11, 18-19, 31; September 1, 6-9; additional shifts available ongoing after.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Neonatology with recent experience required.
• Active IMLC or active FL license required.
