Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, board-certified Neonatologist to join and help lead their expanding program at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (SRMC) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This role offers an ideal blend of clinical leadership, schedule flexibility, and the ability to practice high-quality community neonatology. The position provides a week-on/week-off schedule with home call, allowing for predictable downtime and commuting flexibility.
Practice Info
- Work within a cohesive, well-supported partnership with SRMC leadership and frontline staff
- Collaborative care in the Level III NICU and newborn nursery
- Work alongside 2 Neonatologists and 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
- 8-bed Level III NICU
- 10 LDR couplet care rooms
- Combined census: 9-11 patients/day
- Approximately 1,250 annual deliveries with strong in-house OB Hospitalist support
Responsibilities
- Provide collaborative care in the Level III NICU and newborn nursery
- Attend high-risk deliveries and participate in perinatal team care
- Mentor nursing and respiratory therapy teams as NICU volume and acuity expand
- Help shape clinical protocols and growth strategies for a developing NICU program
