Responsibilities
Pediatrix Medical Group , in partnership withRapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital (RWCH) , is seeking adedicated and compassionate Neonatologist to join our growing team in Alexandria, Louisiana.
This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying atrue work-life balance with a7-on/7-off schedule and24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) coverage .

- 34-bed, Level III NICU – diverse acuity and case variety
- Collaborative 2 Neonatologist / 4 NNP model
- NNPs in-house 24 hours a day
- Home call for Neonatologists after rounds
- 1,500–2,000 deliveries annually
- Newborn nursery rounds
- NNP-led transport team (physician covers in-house during transports)
You’ll be part of acollegial, evidence-based team focused on quality-driven protocols and continuous improvement in neonatal care.

Located within Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital:
- Central Louisiana’slargest and most advanced NICU
- The region’sonly Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- A19-bed pediatric unit ,29-bed well-baby nursery , and26-bed OB/post-partum unit
