Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (PT/Hourly)

Position Overview

Per diem Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide bedside care at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. Work nights only with variable shift lengths, including weekend coverage. Backup coverage from a neonatologist is available from home for high‑risk deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 22‑bed Level 3 NICU.
• Manage jet ventilators, HFJV, INO, and whole‑body cooling therapies.
• Attend high‑risk deliveries with evening backup neonatologist coverage.
• Support night shift operations and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Current national APRN specialty certification (NNP).
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of NNP experience.
• Valid nursing license in the state of Virginia.
