Overview

We are seeking an experienced per diem neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join a team of five neonatologists and four nurse practitioners who provide care to patients at Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta.

Our NICU facilities are state‑of‑the‑art and are part of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The Level‑III NICU has 35 beds and operates 24/7. The NNP will work in‑house and provide medical management of critically ill neonates. The neonatal units receive national recognition, including a high ranking from U.S. News & World Report.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical management for critically ill newborns and premature infants in a Level‑III NICU environment.
  • Work in‑house 24/7 as part of the neonatal care team.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and allied health staff to deliver patient‑centered care.
  • Participate in rounds, supervise bedside care, and maintain clinical documentation.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification in neonatology or related field.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing.
  • GA license strongly preferred.
  • Relevant clinical experience in a Level‑III NICU setting.
  • Available to start ASAP.
