Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Grand Rapids, MI
University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a part‑time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to expand and provide high‑caliber, quality focused care to our local communities. You will coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a partnering team of specialists spanning 37+ specialty care and hospital‑based service lines.
- Demonstrate expertise in neonatal assessment, interpreting physical and psychological status of infants and families, providing therapeutic interventions, and implementing the plan of care including discharge planning.
- Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings obtained by history, physical screening, behavioral assessments, and collaborate with the designated physician to implement an appropriate management plan.
Qualifications
- State of Michigan Advanced Practice Licensure required.
- Master’s degree with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training and certification.
- Minimum two years’ experience as an RN, with at least two years in a Level III NICU.
- Certification (ANA/AWHONN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner within 12 months of program completion if graduate NNP.
