Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience

  • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
  • 22 months of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
Requirements
  • Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).
  • This role may require floating to additional units and locations
  • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
  • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
  • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details
  • Patient diagnoses:
  • Level II NICU admissions/Normal Newborn
  • 32 weeks or greater
  • Special procedures:
  • Attend Vaginal and Cesarean Deliveries
  • CPAP/BiPap
  • Feeding Tubes, Syringe Pumps
  • Attends All Deliveries, Attends High Risk Deliveries
NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they already have the skill/competencies
Block Schedules: No
Patient Age Groups: Infants
Transportation: Clinician must have reliable transportation; travel pairs require separate vehicles.
Scheduling: Facility scheduling needs must be met; special requests (e.g., block scheduling, late starts) will not be accommodated.
Housing: IF applicable - Clinician should secure housing before accepting and be aware of local cost of living.
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations. (Nursing positions only).

2 references from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
