Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist with recent Neonatology experience to join Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, as a per diem Neonatal Hospitalist. This role involves providing high-quality care in a 22-bed Level III NICU and Newborn Nursery. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a supportive environment.
Practice Info
- 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms
- Approximately 1,700 annual deliveries
- Comprehensive care in the NICU and Newborn Nursery
Responsibilities
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Diagnose and manage newborn medical conditions
- Care for premature and medically complex infants in conjunction with the Neonatologists
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Newborn airway management including intubation
- Umbilical arterial and venous catheter placement
