Offering a flexible part-time opportunity, the Nebraska Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia services to pet families in Omaha, Papillion, and Bennington, Nebraska, with a focus on compassionate end-of-life care without the constraints of a traditional veterinary practice. Key responsibilities Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services Travel independently to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment Educate pet families on quality-of-life decisions, end-of-life care options, and the euthanasia process with empathy and professionalism Required qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree Active veterinary license in Nebraska or eligibility to obtain one Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments Experience in end-of-life conversations and providing compassionate care Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds
