Position is pending funding in the mid September 2026 timeframe.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Development division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for incoming service incidents related to computer systems, software, and hardwareProvide end-user software and hardware troubleshooting, applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and implement or recommend solutionsIdentify recurring issues and notify management of patternsTests and analyzes all elements of network facilitiesResponsibilities include providing technical assistance, addressing customer queries, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.Specialists will assess and troubleshoot issues related to company products/services, offer step-by-step guidance, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate departmentMonitors and controls the performance and status of network resources on multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware toolsIdentifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting network performanceAnalyzes network performance, usage, traffic flows, access, and interfacesProvides technical planning and analysis for communication activities including designing, integrating, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, monitoring, reporting, documenting, working with appropriate vendors, and performing preventative maintenance servicesPerforms testing, provisioning, operations and emergency response for ongoing network operationsOversees and manages the deployment of upgrades to existing data, video, and related systems in a multi-location environmentEnsures all required operational and support documents are currentMaintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in online media, cloud service, storage solutions, and other data center technologiesWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
