McDowell, Raleigh, NC 27699Number of Openings: 1Maximum submission by vendor: 1No new submissions after 5/20/2020Either webcam interview or in-personPay Rate: $60/hr on w2 all inclusive or $68/hr on c2c all inclusiveCOVID-19 ELR CoordinatorThe Covid-19 ELR coordinator will guide laboratories, work closely with IT staff, lab managers, and hospital administrators to explain and facilitate the project, and has primary responsibility for mapping, testing, and validating COVID-19 lab data submitted by participating labs to NC DPH. Responsible for updating the ELR solution as additional testing capabilities become available and new, sometimes non-traditional labs conduct testing for COVID-19. Responsible to ensure that lab data is accurately reflected in North Carolina Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NC EDDS).The ideal applicant will have work experience and familiarity with the following:Extensive experience with laboratory data and EDI transaction processing, including LOINC and SNOMED-CT coding of lab data – Required 3 yearsDemonstrated expertise with HL7 and XML – Required 3 yearsDemonstrated experience with Rhapsody Data exchange interface engine – Required 3 yearsDemonstrated project management and team leadership skills; Required 5 yearsFull project life cycle experience, including software development, end-user training, and ability to identify, read, track and troubleshoot system error message; Required 5 yearsExceptional communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with a variety of project team members in various locations and with varying degrees of technical and non-technical expertise and vocabulary. Required 5 yearsExperience working with ELR messaging and communicable disease reporting at a local, state or federal level: Highly desired 4 yearsEducational qualifications for this position are less important than extensive work experience in highly relevant and related fields.
Experience leveraging relational databases and wide-ranging expertise in a variety of programming languages is a must. This job is highly specialized to meet the ongoing ELR coordination needs for NC.
