NC ProgrammerPGS Worldwide is seeking an NC Programmer in King of Prussia, PA for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on developing and optimizing CNC programs using engineering specifications and drawings to machine parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled equipment. You will analyze drawings to define part configuration and machining sequences, select cutters and machining parameters, and test/modify programs to support engineering changes and continuous program improvements.Required SkillsExperience developing and writing programs for numerically controlled (NC/CNC) machines using engineering specifications and drawingsExperience analyzing engineering drawings to define part configuration and determine machining operation type and sequenceExperience developing programs for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine toolsExperience making cutter selections considering speeds, cutter types, feeds, and control system limitationsExperience selecting program routines to efficiently calculate dimensional and machining requirementsExperience testing and modifying existing part programs for engineering changes or program improvementsSiemens NX experience (required)Vericut experience (required)What You'll DoDevelop and write NC/CNC programs based on engineering specifications and drawingsAnalyze engineering drawings to define part configuration and determine the most practical machining sequenceCreate machining programs for parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machine toolsSelect cutters and machining parameters (speeds/feeds) appropriate for each part and control system limitationsChoose efficient program routines for calculating dimensional and machining requirementsTest, troubleshoot, and modify existing programs to incorporate engineering changes and improve program performanceJob ID: 20274Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
