Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented NAVSEA Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to join our team working in Washington, D.C. This is an onsite position.The DPM will help coordinate high-impact engineering support initiatives and ensure the successful completion of technical and administrative objectives. This role demands strong leadership, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to collaborative performance.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist the Program Manager with the overall planning, direction, and management of program performance, ensuring all contract requirements and performance metrics are metServe as the primary point of contact in the Program Manager's absence, acting as the key interface with government customers, team members, and subcontractorsProvide leadership and supervision to the program staff, including task leads, engineers, and support personnelManage program resources, including personnel, budget, and schedule, to ensure efficient and effective contract performanceSupport the development and submission of all required contract deliverables, including monthly status reports, financial reports, and technical documentationMonitor and track program progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues to ensure the on-time completion of task ordersEnsure all program activities comply with security protocols, quality assurance standards, and company policiesParticipate in contract reviews, customer meetings, and strategic planning sessionsContribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and capturing new opportunitiesOccasional travel to Newport News may be required, up to four times annuallyMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field10+ years of experience in a defense contracting or U.S.

military environmentExperience supporting a DoD agency in Financial Management, Program Management, and/or technical management.Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWAI level III Certification in Program ManagementExperience working in or supporting a Navy program office, PEO, or PAE.Experience communicating, interacting, and working among Senior Executive Service and Flag level personnel.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical fieldOperational, engineering, or program management experience with aircraft carriers or their installed systemsFamiliarity with contract types such as Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP)Clearance Requirements:Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active Secret security clearancePhysical Requirements:The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.The projected compensation range for this position is $142,200.00-$254,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
