Naval Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement systems infrastructure, including hardware and software components
- Analyze, modify, test, and maintain systems to meet performance, security, and compliance standards
- Verify and validate systems to ensure alignment with internal and external requirements
- Provide expert diagnosis and solutions for system issues in existing and new environments
- Conduct engineering evaluations to support on-time, on-budget project completion
- Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and execute project plans
- Review policies, procedures, and performance reports to maintain regulatory and operational standards
- Develop schedules, budgets, specifications, and resource plans for engineering projects
- Select materials, tools, staff, and vendors to support system development and deployment
- Lead or contribute to high-visibility Navy programs through specialized technical and business expertise
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or working directly with the U.S. Navy, either as active duty, a government civilian, or a support contractor
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy technical authority, such as NAVSEA 05
- Experience working with U.S. Navy Program Managers in an analyst capacity
Clearance Requirements
- Must hold an active Top-Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
