ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Butler PA for a Nationwide Field Service Technician. Responsibilities include performing field-based heat treatment services, monitoring and operating heat treatment equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Additional duties involve setting up and troubleshooting field equipment, maintaining detailed documentation of processes, and collaborating with team members to meet project specifications and customer requirements. Candidates should have a strong commitment to safety and quality and must be comfortable working in Heavy Industrial settings. Working 7 days a week, 12 hours per day is common during busy times throughout the year. The time length of understanding and becoming self-sufficient in our processes will drive wage advancements and the number of hours worked and wage advancements. Shop and or Field training will follow initial hiring to expedite the understanding of the services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap insulation to meet code and specification as required by the supervisor and/or QC department
- Deploy equipment and materials associated with the heat-treating industry (cables, heaters supplies, etc...)
- Ability and willingness to follow all safety requirements, accept and follow orders, and work cooperatively with clients and fellow employees.
- Must demonstrate dependability, enthusiasm, and potential to become certified technician at a higher level than current.
- A willingness to travel and work non-standard hours. (24 Hour Call)
- Must be able to pass drug screens on a random basis. (DISA certification or others depending on client location) and meet all safety requirements
- May require a TWIC card and other basic Safety certifications (process to get TWIC card and certifications is available)
- Pull and Carrying Cables
- Climbing, Bending, Pulling, Kneeling on a continual basis
- Carry Heaters on a continual basis - 5 Pounds Each
- 24 Hour On Call-7 Days a Week, Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Work requires correct use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Working in confined space
- Some work may be performed on ladders, scaffolding or at high elevations.
- Employee works with hand tools and electrical equipment on a daily basis.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); training from related trade school but not required Some electrical or industrial experience but not required. Minimum of 6 months work experience required, preferable in the Heat Treating or other similarly related industry. Good knowledge of OSHA and Safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus
- Pre-hire and random drug testing with acceptable background checks
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the USA 90% of the time.
- Knowledge of computer and emailing technology and using Microsoft Office programs.
- Mechanical aptitude or experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
- Understand safety protocols and adherence to OSHA or industry safety standards
- Experience working in a heavy industrial setting is a plus.

Work requires physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push/pull, or balance weight for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to frequently lift, move, and/or carry between 50 to 100 pounds with or without assistance. Employee will regularly drive a company truck and must be able to enter and exit the truck throughout the day. Will regularly operate equipment associated with the heat treatment industry that requires manual dexterity and use of industrial tools requiring some coordinated movements. Activities include using a forklift or pallet jack to move material and parts; and tools to assemble, install or repair industrial materials.
