About the Role
Raytheon is seeking a Director, Operations for the Naval Air Missiles (NAM) portfolio. In this role you will lead end‑to‑end operational execution across major missile programs including Tomahawk, AIM‑9X, JSOW, and NSM. You will ensure programs meet production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives, driving operational scale‑up across multiple facilities.
The position partners closely with senior RTX leadership, government stakeholders, VP‑level customers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with a rapidly growing portfolio. You will operate in a high‑visibility, high‑pressure environment requiring exceptional leadership and innovation capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Procurement to ensure supplier/factory management and execution support for program needs and requirements.
- Lead long‑range planning, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) responsibility and generation, Quarterly EAC reviews, and Risk & Opportunity Management.
- Monitor and manage key performance metrics including Hours Per Unit (HPU) and On‑Time Delivery (OTD).
- Provide customer proposal and gate review support.
- Develop and execute operations strategies that support customer requirements and meet program objectives.
- Resolve issues and conflicts within organizations, between organizations, and with suppliers and/or customers.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Lead a team of Operations Managers.
Qualifications You Must Have
- University degree (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience.
- Experience managing production deliveries and performing Estimate at Completion (EAC) activities.
- Professional experience leading a defense production program within an operations environment.
- Active, transferable Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience leading personnel and teams in matrixed organizations as a collaborative leader who shares program information and requirements to enable success.
- Experience with material sales forecasting and execution.
- Experience managing teams using data‑driven analysis of production deliverables.
- Previous experience with recertification processes and warranty deliverables.
- Experience leading cost reduction or process improvement initiatives.
Benefits and Compensation
Salary range: $186,200 USD – $353,800 USD. RTX considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, experience, location, and education when extending offers.

Benefits are dependent on the specific business unit and employment agreement.
Eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs based on level and collective‑bargaining agreement. Incentive payments are not guaranteed and dependent on individual, business unit, and company performance.
