Music Instructor Student Engagement

Position: Music Instructor
Location: P.S. 91 (Ridgewood/Glendale, NY
Pay Rate: $20 an hour
Hours: 2:15 - 5:30pm (time can vary on Select Holidays and monthly meetings)

**Draw up, plan & implement engaging lesson plans with clear learning objectives pertaining to the subject of Music - must be submitted in a timely manner and follow program's curriculum format
Introduce students to basic music concepts (rhythm, tempo, pitch, melody, instruments, etc.)
**Lead interactive activities such as singing, movement, rhythm games, and beginner instrument exploration
-Encourage student creativity through songwriting, performance, and collaborative projects
-Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students can express themselves
-Develop and direct showcases as part of the program curriculum when we see fit
-Manage classroom behavior and ensure student engagement and participation
-Collaborate with program staff to align music activities with program goals
-Uphold the programs standards & protocols

I am looking for a strong, committed team at this time who are willing to grow with the kids and the program. I need workers to be punctual and reliable to stick to program hours and designated days. I value workers who can dedicate their time at work to help provide the kids with engaged learning.
