Future Hearts, Minds & Dreamers (FHMD) is seeking creative, versatile, and experienced Multidisciplinary Arts Instructors to lead enrichment programs for children, teens, and adults.
This opportunity is ideal for a teaching artist who has experience in more than one creative discipline and enjoys combining different art forms into engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Visual Arts
Drawing & Illustration
Theatre & Drama
Dance & Movement
Creative Writing
Film & Photography
Music & Vocal Arts
Culinary Arts
Crafts & Creative Projects

Other Creative Arts Disciplines
About the Position
FHMD works with schools, community organizations, and senior communities to bring creative enrichment directly to participants. Our instructors encourage students to explore, create, experiment, develop new skills, and work collaboratively.
Multidisciplinary instructors may teach a class centered on one primary art form or combine several disciplines into a single program. For example, a class might incorporate visual art and writing, theatre and movement, photography and storytelling, or another combination that fits the instructor's expertise.
Curriculum should be appropriate for the age group and designed to actively involve participants rather than rely primarily on demonstration or lecture.
Who We Serve
Programming may be available for:
PreK 5th grade
Middle and high school students
Adults age 50+
Most FHMD programs are offered in person at partner locations.
We work with qualified teaching artists in multiple states and pursue opportunities based on instructor qualifications, location, availability, and partner needs.
Flexible Scheduling
This is a contract-based opportunity rather than a traditional full-time or part-time position. Many FHMD instructors have other teaching positions, artistic projects, performances, businesses, or professional commitments.
Programs commonly meet once a week for approximately 6 10 weeks. Class sessions are generally 45 minutes for PreK and 60 minutes for other age groups.
Instructors provide FHMD with their availability, preferred age groups, and the disciplines they are prepared to teach. You may also propose original multidisciplinary class concepts for consideration.
Teaching assignments are not guaranteed. FHMD continues to seek appropriate opportunities for approved instructors unless they notify us that they no longer wish to receive offers.
When a potential assignment is available, FHMD sends an official class offer by email. Instructors have 24 hours to accept, decline, or discuss the opportunity.
Compensation
$40 $60 per class
Classes are generally 45 60 minutes. The compensation range represents the lowest and highest amount FHMD reasonably anticipates offering for this position across the United States.
Individual rates may vary depending on enrollment, program funding, and the structure of the specific assignment.
Contractor Status
This is an independent contractor teaching opportunity.
FHMD does not provide employer-sponsored health insurance, retirement benefits, paid vacation, paid sick time, or other major employee benefits. The contractor structure allows instructors to manage their availability and accept assignments that fit their schedules.

Develop creative, age-appropriate lessons and projects.

Provide hands-on instruction and meaningful opportunities for participants to practice skills.
