To support a growing tech startup, the full-time Multi-State HR Generalist will manage multi-state compliance, lead annual audits, and address escalated payroll and benefits inquiries while working remotely. Key responsibilities Track state-by-state law changes and draft policy updates for multi-state compliance Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh within the first 90 days Address escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions requiring experienced judgment Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in any discipline At least 2 years of hands-on HR generalist experience Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience Comfortable working in a small, high-intensity team environment Enthusiastic about integrating AI into HR operations
