MuleSoft API DeveloperAustin, TX3 months Contract with possibility to extensionThe Candidate will perform highly advanced design and development work as part of the Administrative Applications services project team(s) with direction and guidance from Technical Leads and Applications Services Management. The primary responsibility of this position is to work with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to create, configure, setup and maintain backend environment for microservices. The Mulesoft API Developer is responsible for designing and connecting APIs (Application Programming Interface) that enable various applications to communicate with one another.The Candidate must have strong hands-on technical experience with the Mulesoft development platform and a proven success of architecting, developing, and implementing enterprise level APIs with sound API security framework.

The primary goal of the worker will be to drive, assist and implement a new web application in multiple phases. Work involves configuring and setting backend MuleSoft API Gateways, proxy and APIs while integrating with .NET core based microservices with docker containerization, creating and troubleshooting backend pipelines, integrating micro-frontend REACT based applications. The Candidate must be able to drive, assist and implement web application developments and updates in a windows and Linux environments.Client will require the Worker to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced analysis/programming tasks such as:Responsible for the design and development of MuleSoft-based applications.Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integrationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutionsImplement best practices for API development, testing, and deploymentTroubleshoot and debug issues with MuleSoft APIs and integrationsParticipate in code reviews and ensure code qualityStay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API development and integrationDocument APIs and integrations for internal and external stakeholdersProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.Participate in CICD and troubleshoot issues with APIs and configurationsUse Anypoint Studio to build, test, and debug basic integrations and API implementations.Responsible for all CI/CD related to MuleSoft applications (builds, creating pipelines using Jenkins/AWS DevOps, deployment using Anypoint runtime manager, etc.)Flows with exception handling (synch and asynch)RAML/OAS design, schema validationCandidate Skills and Qualifications:Years - Required/Preferred - Experience7 - Required - Experience with RESTful API development7 - Required - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server5 - Required - Experience with stateless RESTful API development5 - Required - Experience with developing integrated APIs in the MuleSoft Enterprise platform5 - Required - Experience with developing API gateway interfaces in the MuleSoft Enterprise platform5 - Required - Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Studio5 - Required - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and triggers5 - Required - Experience with highly complex application security requirements5 - Required - Experience with stateless web application design5 - Required - Experience with JSON Web Tokens5 - Required - Experience with code reviews and in-depth code analysis5 - Preferred - Experience working with enterprise software solutions4 - Preferred - Experience with C#3 - Preferred - Experience with knowledge transfer to junior level web developers2 - Preferred - Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)2 - Preferred - Experience with Confluence2 - Preferred
