Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Establish and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and participate in school initiatives.
- Foster relationships with the community to enhance educational opportunities for students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and utilize various teaching strategies.
Preferred Skills
- Support the implementation of the district's and school's Title 1 plan.
- Track student data to determine the growth and needs of student.
- Implement interventions from Standard Treatment Protocol.
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
