Bethany Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and academic expectations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the overall educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world applications of mathematics.
- Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of middle school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
