This role ensures critical spare parts and maintenance supplies are available when needed while optimizing inventory investment, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. The MRO Supervisor collaborates closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Finance teams to support equipment uptime and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Supervise MRO storeroom personnel and inventory specialistsMaintain accurate inventory of all tool crib items (i.e. tooling, gauges, fixtures, spare parts, consumables, etc.)Establish inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and material availabilityFacilitate and conduct cycle counts and physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepanciesIdentify obsolete, excess, and slow-moving inventory and develop reduction plansMonitor stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock requirementsCoordinate sourcing and procurement activities for MRO materials and servicesNegotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreementsEnsure availability of components needed for preventive and corrective maintenancePartner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to identify critical spare parts requirementsMaintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP and CMMS systemsDevelop and track KPIs such as: Inventory accuracy, Stockout frequency, Inventory turns, On-time supplier delivery, Maintenance downtime due to parts shortages, etc.Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control, storage, and cost savingsPrepare management reports and recommend corrective actionsTransport material as required using proper handling methodsKeep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection proceduresUnderstand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policiesUnderstand and adhere to current quality and control policiesPerform other duties as neededWhat We're Looking For:3 to 5 years of indirect purchasing or program or project management experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with preference for globally supported environmentAssociate's or Bachelor 's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business Management or equivalent preferredExperience working as member of a teamAttention to detail and organizationSupplier & Inventory Management SkillsTeam Leader, Critical Analysis, and excellent Negotiation SkillsCoaching and Team Development SkillsStrong Interpersonal SkillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Web based tracking software, and SAP-ERP systems knowledge a plusMust be self-motivated/directed.
